Treasure Hunt

El 11 de marzo fuimos al centro de la ciudad con los alumnos de 2° de bachillerato para grabar unos vídeos para un Treasure Hunt. Fuimos a diferentes lugares históricos en Málaga, por ejemplo, visitamos el castillo de la Alcazaba, el mercado central, y también la calle Larios, la Plaza de la Merced y la Plaza de la Constitución. Además, descansamos un poco y desayunamos en Casa Aranda para enseñar gastronomía local.

On the 11th of March we went to the city centre with the students of bachillerato 2 to record short video clips for treasure hunt. We went to different historical and monumental places in Malaga, for example we visited the Alcazaba castle, the market, but also streets and plazas like the Larios street, Plaza de la Merced and Plaza the la Constitución. Furthermore, we had a rest and snack in the Casa Aranda to introduce the local gastronomy.

Del 22 al 24 de marzo tenemos un proyecto Erasmus +, que se llama “Movilízate para cambiar el mundo”. Hay participantes de Hungría, Polonia, Croacia y España. Pero como es casi imposible viajar ahora, entonces todo el proyecto es en línea.

On the 22th until the 24th of March we will host a Erasmus+ Learning and Training Teaching activity called “Taking action to change the world”. There are participants from Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Spain, but as travelling right now is still a bit complicated, it is held online.

La idea del Treasure Hunt es presentar Málaga a otros participantes. Normalmente, los estudiantes irían al centro de la ciudad y explorarían todos los lugares ellos mismos, pero no es posible este año, entonces teníamos que cambiar el formato y hacerlo en línea. Por ello, fuimos nosotros mismos a todos los lugares, algunos alumnos dijeron datos interesantes sobre ellos y les mostramos los paisajes. Además, después preguntamos algunas cuestiones, y los participantes tendrán que buscar las respuesta correctas de Internet. Si lo encuentran, pueden ir a la siguiente pregunta.

The purpose of the treasure hunt is to introduce Malaga to the other participants. Normally students could go in the city centre, explore the places themselves and discover the beautiful places of the city. So as this time this option is not possible, we had to adapt to the situation and do it online. So with bachillerato 2, we went to all of these places ourselves, said some interesting facts about the place and showed the surroundings. Furthermore, after every place a question followed, so online the players have to search from the internet for the right answer. Once they have found it, they will be led to the next question.

El tiempo para grabar fue increíble, fue soleado e hizo mucho color. Tenemos dos grupos, por la mañana teníamos un grupo y después otro. Los estudiantes de ambos grupos fueron muy amables y participaron activamente. Estamos muy felices con el resultado final.

The weather for filming was incredible, it was sunny and warm. We were organized into 2 groups, so in the morning we had one group of students and then came the second group. The students from both groups were really cooperative and took active participation. We are very happy with the final result.
